Andrew
Anningson
Andrew has been working in film and television in Halifax
since 1996. Combining a Bachelor of Science degree in biology
from Acadia University and year in residence at the Maine
Photographic Workshops, culminating in a Professional Certificate
in still photography, Andrew has filled many creative as well
as more business oriented roles within the film and television
industry.
Andrew was Salter Street Films' first DVD author, and over
the years has had hundreds of thousands of his discs replicated
and sold throughout North America. Andrew was promoted to
Director of Client Services and Supervisor of Salter Street
Digital's video postproduction operation, until his recent
departure to pursue his own projects.
Andrew is launching his latest solo production in the realm
of underwater videography, which draws upon the skills and
knowledge of the many talented and creative colleagues he
has worked with over the years.
Stewart
Dowds
With nearly two decades of experience in film and television,
Stewart is an accomplished editor, director and more recently,
underwater videographer.
Throughout
a decade of diving, Stewart has developed an extensive list
of credentials. Stewart is a certified Re-Breather Diver as
well as a Wreck Diver, Ice Diver and Advanced Nitrox diver.
In addition, Stewart has risen to the level of Assistant Instructor
in the PADI professional certification program.
Stewart has combined his love of the ocean and his film and
television experience to capture some extraordinary images
that bring the beauty of Nova Scotia's unsurpassed ocean habitat
to the small screen to be enjoyed by all. The excitement that
was generated from Stewart's underwater videos is the inspiration
that lead to the conception of this project.
John
Stone
Captain
John Stone has twenty-five years of military experience.
A
seasoned diver, John first donned scuba gear in 1979 while
in Cyprus. Since that time he has literally dove all around
the world. His passion for the sport and wonder of the underwater
environment has motivated him to enable others to experience
first hand the majesty of the underwater realm. Throughout
the years, John has rose through the PADI hierarchy achieving
the Master Instructor rating, the highest level of recreational
instructor. He actively teaches all levels of recreational
diving including specialties such as; Wreck, Ice, Deep, Nitrox
and Night diver. In addition John is a certified IANTD, Adv
Nitrox and Tri Mix diver, which places him in a select group
of people who have explored Nova Scotia's deepest diving limits.
A
highly accomplished diver, boat handler and instructor with
more Nova Scotia dives under his weight belt than he cares
to remember, John is an indispensable source of knowledge
in the areas of diving, dive safety, local terrain and conditions.
Nancy
Anningson
Nancy
has worked as a Manager of Finance and Business Development
in the corporate world and the non-profit sector
for almost a decade. She has also been involved in the television
industry for several years, providing Closed Captioning services
for Salter Street Digital and PowerPost Productions.
Nancy
was excited by the opportunity to work with the Sea Monkeys,
to market and promote their projects. At present, she is traveling
across Nova Scotia selling advertising space on the Dive In
Nova Scotia DVD to accommodations, restaurants, boat charters
and adventure tourism operators.
Upon
viewing the amazing underwater video footage the Sea Monkeys
began shooting in 2003, Nancy immediately set out to become
a scuba diver earning her Open Water and Advanced Open
Water certifications in order to witness Nova Scotias
underwater beauty first-hand!
